I'm back!

Sorry for my little hiatus from the blogosphere.  I'm back and there is so much to catch you up on.  The new church is really doing well.  Since my last blog we've had a service project (I'll blog about it soon), had two more monthly services (they were awesome!) , and had another picnic. (We owned Jordannas team in volleyball.)  Anyways, check back over the next couple of weeks and I'll try and get caught up.  In the meantime if you're looking for a quick laugh check out this video we showed at the service this past Sunday of the "Top 5 ways NOT to invite people to church."

Accidental bird sighting....

Yesterday I picked up a couple of movies for Tiff and I to watch this weekend and something funny happened to me on the way home. I was waiting to turn out of the parking lot onto a busy road when finally someone was nice enough to let me in. I pulled out and as I did I went to wave "Thank You" to the courteous driver. My mind told my hand to wave, but because I was still holding onto the movies the only thing that waved was my middle finger! The guy in the other car couldn't believe that after being so nice as to let me in, I would flip him the bird. He flailed his arms inside the cab of his car as if to say, "I can't believe you!". I COULDN'T BELIEVE ME EITHER! I then was faced with a dilemma. Do I attempt that ever so awkward "I'm a complete idiot, i'm sorry, please forgive me" gesture or do I just let the chips fall where they may and speed off leaving him to think that I was the worlds biggest jerk? I would have at least attempted to apologize but the light was turning so .... I just sped off. lol So, guy who thinks I'm a complete jerk, if by some slim chance you happen to read this.... I'm sorry. It was a total accident.

Blogging....

I'm not one to think that my ramblings are so profound that they should be in print or that it would be a disservice to my fellow man if I didn't make them available for all the world to read, but I am excited to start this blog. If anything it will be something fun for my great grandkids to read when they're in the fourth grade and have to do a report on a distant relative. So with this post, let the journey begin. And to my great grandchild doing the report..... I hope you get an A.
